Honoring Sacred Cycles

Through the vast --and I mean almost all-- majority of humanity we were led by the natural cycles in our lives.

Whether it was following the seasons for the planting and harvesting of crops, or being aware of the moon cycles for the ebb and flow of the tides; we humans danced to the beats that nature played.

Only since the 20th century with the invention of artificial lighting have we even been able to skip over the clock of nature.

I'm not damning technology or advancement by any means; I think it's facilitating a critical step in humanity's evolution. AND! And, without it I, personally, would have never been able to connect with the healers, the teachers and the mystics who have so profoundly expanded my life's path.

However, I *do* think that we have done ourselves a disservice by completely ignoring the innate reminder of action and rest that mother nature provides us.

Honoring the Longest Day of the Year

TOMORROW, Friday, June 20th is the longest day of the year for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. It's this potent, portal day that marks the end of the waxing year and beginning of the waning year.

I believe it's this lovely intrinsic moment for us to take a deep breath, come back to ourselves and integrate all we have learned, shed, reclaimed and stepped into over the last six months.

There are so many ways to honor the longest day of the year; by taking a nature walk, watching the sunset or even having a little picnic. BUT, if you're feeling called to a little more... a little more ritual or a little more intentionality, I would invite you to consider joining me for a Summer SOULstice celebration tomorrow, Friday 6/20 @1pm EST
